VCOS/VFIS Announce 2008 Emergency Vehicle Safe Operations Achievement Award

The IAFC Volunteer Combination Officer Section (VCOS) and VFIS are proud to announce the availability of their 2nd annual Emergency Vehicle Safe Operations Achievement Award. The award, designed to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the United States Fire Administration (USFA) initiatives to reduce firefighter injuries and deaths as a result of vehicle accidents, recognizes emergency service organizations that are VCOS members and who have experienced no accidents from August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008. These organizations must also demonstrate a functioning vehicle safety program.

Emergency service organizations who submit the application by August 31, 2008 and meet the qualification criteria will receive their award at the 2008 IAFC-VCOS "Symposium in the Sun" held in Clearwater Beach, Florida, from October 30 to November 2, 2008.
